Gotta Have It!!
I NEED this Peacoat by Stewwie! I fell in love with it the second I saw it! I love the mustard color and the hand knit ribbing on the back side of the peacoat - what a great touch. Her other clothes are great too, I was browsing her sold items and had to mark her shop a favorite!

Annual Balloon Classic - Colorado Springs
Everyone woke up bright and early (with bed head) this morning to head to Dunkin' Donuts, then to Memorial Park here in Colorado Springs to watch the hot air balloons rise into the air.
It is so amazing and the balloons are all different shapes, sizes and colors. We sat on a blanket, ate our donuts and watched the balloons fill with air. One by one they all started rising! There is a lake in the middle of the park and the balloons dip their baskets into it...we are planning on heading over to that area of the park tomorrow morning to see it again!
I was able to take a picture of a few unique balloons....here is a ladybug:
I also thought this balloon shaped like Noah's Ark was really neat!

Rkdsign88
I am in the process of redecorating our home after getting ready to list it for sale and not buying anything new for around a year. Now that we have taken it off of the market (it didn't sell for 6 months) and the Stager has taken her stuff out of here I have been snatching up little things here and there to make it mine again! I am thinking my daughter's room would look adorable with the prints I found in Rkdsign88's shop! I particularly like the little girl she has designed but her animals are also very cute!
BeanPickleSprout Pot Holder GIVEAWAY
I have decided to hold a giveaway contest. Up for grabs is a pot holder of your choice from my Etsy Shop! All you have to do is go look at my shop, find the pot holder design you like best and then post a comment on this post stating the design you would like to win! This contest will run through next Friday, September 5th. All commenters names will be placed in a box and the winner will be drawn randomly!
Find of the Week: Shoemall
Are you a shoe fanatic? Well, you just might love me for sharing this site with you. Shoemall offers designer brands at discount prices with FREE SHIPPING....yes, FREE SHIPPING. Granted, the shipping does take about 7-10 business days but I absolutely despise shipping charges so it is worth the wait for me!
Galeana
Want to see some beautiful jewelry? Galeana is the place to look! My sister and I actually purchased a custom piece from her for my mom for her 50th birthday and they are even more beautiful in person! Galeana was very nice to work with and made sure it was just what I wanted by sending pictures as she was creating the ring. It was a "Stackable Eye Candy" ring with our birthstones (my mom, sister and me). Great craftsmanship, unique style, simple design and awesome to work with....you can't miss with this shop!

TheTaylerBean
I just realized in all of my ramblings that I haven't mentioned my son's Etsy shop. He is six years old, just started first grade and had his first Running Club practice tonight! Tayler "Bean" started making buttons, magnets and recently added pocket mirrors to his list, to save up for certain toys that he wants. He also puts half of his proceeds in savings and learns a lot about money management with his new business venture. I have had the pleasure of his company at the last two craft fairs I have had a space at and he even outsold me once!
996 Sales!
Woven Expressions
Sometimes I drive my husband nuts because I always seem to need a blanket to snuggle up to, no matter what the temperature, when we are hanging out on the couch after the kids are in bed. Check out this one handmade by WovenExpressions! If you haven't noticed, I like a LOT of color and this blanket is full of color.
The other great thing about this blanket....it is reversible and shows a different pattern on the back! Check out her shop to see more pictures and views of this beauty.

Undiscovered Shop of the Day: MoonlightingMoms
Since I am cranky today, I think I need something sweet to cheer me up and MoonlightingMoms is just the shop I was looking for! Just look at these Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk cookies! I almost drooled on the computer at the sight of them. There are other types of cookies listed so check out this newbie today!
Lack of Motivation
Today I am having the hardest time keeping my motivation. I am tired and cranky and not sure what has caused this to happen. Maybe I should just get off of my butt and turn on some music, clean up my area and get moving...until then....imagine yourself sitting in this lovely chair by VintageRenewal based out of Denver, Colorado (just up the road from Colorado Springs!).
I keep telling my husband he needs a new man chair and that this is just the chair for him...it's not working :/ I look at this chair at least once a week and imagine myself laying across it with my legs over one arm and my head on the other arm, reading a book in the corner of a room with calm and quiet around me...then I hear "MOM!" come from the upstairs bedroom and realize it is only a dream. Well, maybe one day it will happen :)

Love it!!
There are certain people that I "stalk" on a daily basis and SagittariusGallery is one of them. Aja lists new original paintings often, I own one of her pieces already and this one literally took my breath away when I saw it. Maybe it is the fact I love nature...maybe it is the awesome combination of colors she uses....well - I BOUGHT IT!! I can't wait for it to get here so I can put it on my wall and stare at it every day!
Stepanka
I came across these Wall Pillows on Etsy and instantly felt the need to snatch up at least three of them (if only I could afford it right now)! Stepanka hand builds each wall pillow using slabs of porcelain. She then etches an original drawing into the clay, glazes some parts, and fires in a glass kiln. There are many sizes and designs to choose from so go and see if you can find something you love! I am sure it won't be hard!
Undiscovered Shop of the Day: PeterSharp
Based out of Phoenix, AZ, PeterSharp is just starting out and only has one listing but I am sure his shop will fill up with wonderful creations with time. He makes custom mantle pieces using a variety of materials. I especially like the colorful combinations of tile he placed on the timber beam he used in the piece shown here. PeterSharp is also willing to do custom orders and lists some ideas for you to start out with! Oh, how I wish I had a mantle...

HeidiandSeek
I am going to try to feature a new undiscovered shop (0 sales at the time of my posting a blog) and show you my favorite item!
I was "Pouncing" and for those of you not familiar with Etsy you can shop by using the "Pounce" tool....anyway, I came across HeidiandSeek! I love almost every single piece in her shop but this one is calling my name. I am SO in the mood for fall to get here and the colors remind me of the upcoming season.
She uses thrifted and unwanted materials and turns them into something new and original! I reallly wish I could be so creative with sewing clothing. I haven't ventured past the baby bibs yet...one day, maybe? My favorite thing about this top is the unexpected color combinations. I would've never thought to put them together the way she did and the result is fantastic!
Check out her shop and give a newbie some love!!
Wow!
I just came across my own blog when checking my "google alerts" that come up under BeanPickleSprout and forgot I had even started it! A lot has changed since October of last year, I can't even believe it has been that long. Time flies by so quickly!
I am almost to 1000 sales now, I can't even believe it! I have been so blessed by each and every person I have had the opportunity to work with over the past year. I have made several "internet friends" that I don't believe I could live without. My items are now in several stores across the Country and soon to be in one shop in England! I can hardly keep up but - I will, oh yes, I will :)
The picture to the left is one of my newest bib designs! You can now get to my creations a bit easier by typing in http://beanpicklesprout.net - it will forward you to my Etsy shop and saves me a ton of time from telling people what Etsy is and asking why it is called Etsy (maybe one day we will get to the bottom of that question!).
School started last week so everyone is adjusting to the new schedule! My little guy seems lost and lonely in the morning without big brother and sister taunting him. He takes a long nap though so I get some quiet, uninterrupted sewing time in which is very nice!
Tayler, my oldest, started 1st grade! He brought home some homework tonight - I surely don't remember homework in 1st grade! He is happy walking to class by himself in the morning. It is the first year I haven't had to sign him in and he shudders at my suggestion of a hug when he is walking away as I walk his little sister towards her class! I guess it's "not cool" anymore.
My middle child and daughter, Dylynn, is in the full day 4 year program and comes home happy as long as she can paint at least once during the day but is very frustrated that she has to take a nap!
I guess you are all (if there are any of you that actually read this) updated now! I will REALLY try to post more often now that I remember I have a blog!
